public schools suck
Aug. 17th, 2005 06:10 pmI just got my 2005 property taxes today... oh, there was a little surprise on them!
My property taxes for 2005 are $627.18 This is actually a little less than I thought it would be.. nifty
Then the surprise... This note: "As levied by the Cobb County board of education. state law requires Cobb county to collect school taxes which are combined on one bill for your convenience." You want to know what my school taxes are? $1284.03
That is DOUBLE my property taxes... then added on to them...
Ok, I am a single guy with no kids. On top of that I volunteer my time to teach other peoples kids. These asshole parents are sticking me with a $100 a month bill for that shit? What the fuck! This is just wrong!! How the hell can anyone support public schools? How many of you would be willing to pay a bill like that for someone else's kids? Yet over and over again people pour more and more of my money into a broken institution.
This is just insane... How can anyone be in favor of public school?
