lies, lies, lies
Jan. 1st, 2004 01:34 pmthis is just a bit of randomness from me...
What is truth? truth is your belief that the way you perceive one of your memories is fact... (confused yet?) there are a lot of things in there that can separate truth from fact.
lets say you are listening to the song sweet emotion... someone asks you "who sings that?" you answer them "the Beetles" was this a lie?
if someone told you it was written and sung by the beetles and you believed them then no it's not a lie... that was your memory...
lets say you knew that it was sung by aerosmith but you were distracted by something else causing you to not think about the answer and give it wrong. this is your perception of your memory.. it was an incorrect perception however it was still the truth because it was your perception at that moment...
what if someone has told you that it was by aerosmith... however two of your memory had melded together and you thought it was sung by the beetles... your belief is correct... your perception is correct however the memory itself was wrong... making it truth... but not fact....
these are silly examples and not the best I know, but it was all I could think of.. there are LOTS more complex examples I came up with but too much for the journal.
there is really no point to this... I was just going over a definition in my head and thought I would write it down
