The sun passes down slowly on the horizon
shadows grow longer as the day disapears
sinking lower in the sky the light slowly fades
behind it is left a brief glimmer of beauty and color
a reminder of the glorious day
all at once the darkness settles in
the earth is judged, and found to be unworthy to bask in the suns beautiful rays
and so the night begins
