is anyone out there very good with working with glass/lexan to the point of being able to make a VERY curved mirror?

Man we dumpstered what I think you are looking for. We had a big screen TV that had a large concave mirror in it that was in our warehouse when we rented it.

Keep an eye on craigslist.org. There has been several big screens show up on the free section.

One of the guys I work with use to do TV repair. Between his and my vacation time we are burning up right now. I won't see him again till Jan 2nd. I ask him what he has or knows of that might fit the bill.

My uncle does/used to have something similar. Imagine 2 small woks, about the size of a small dish, where the concave side is mirror, one cupped over top of the other like a clam. Now the top half has a hole 2xlarger then a quarter. If you dropped a small object inside, say a quarter, a hologram of that object would float above the hole. It was/is pretty cool.

there is an old game called 'time traveler' that sega came out with that uses this same concept... do a google search for sega and "time traveler".. you should see a few pictures of it.

I have seen those at science stores... same principle but different mechanics... they are pretty cool to play with.
