hugmeok, spelling is done on Tux Internet, the only thing left to do is the marketing stuff, I HATE that part of it.... I can sell things find but I can't do cold calls, I have tried, I even had a pretty well paying job at one point doing it and I was very good at it, I just couldn't mental handle the stress... yea well, I'm a wimp
went to a client location today because their Internet connection was down... it does that when it's unplugged... I had to drive out there for that!?! grrr...
it's working now
I am supposed to get calls about more contract work today, hopefully soon, I want to go and get a business license today and really start working on the Tux Internet stuff.
I am also considering starting to study to take the CISSP exam, I have heard that it's one of the hardest computer tests you can take from SEVERAL people. even the speakers at def-con last year mentioned that anyone who passes it definitely has their respect. hmmm, scary... it's 250 questions and takes 6 hours. that is just under a minute and a half per question... I guess that's reasonable. just to take the test is $450. I read a synopsis of the test and it looks like stuff I already know mostly.... I will have to work on the 'dealing with management' part however, I always sucked at that, I know how something works and the way it should be done. I can explain the HOW really well, but when I try to explain the why it comes out garbled...
tomorrow I should find out if I am going to have a second interview with the bottled water company. hopefully it will work out.
