I finished the contract job <yea!!> it worked the first time, I just plugged it in and it worked... weird that the other one didn't. Hopefully I will get a bunch of these and the have money for the down payment on my house. I was so happy!!!
I started on a new computer last night, I am going to use this one for a friend of mine who wants a high bandwidth site.... It is going to be some pretty good experience 90% of it will be cookie cutter, Operating system, apache, MySQL, cgi-scripts. however I do get to write some custom scripts for her, I love doing stuff like that. it is sad, her current provider doesn't seem to have a clue... she gets hacked all the time (and when I did an `nmap -sX -O` it was easy to tell why)
I think I may have to look at houses this weekend, there are a few people have mentioned that I MUST look at, one of them is over in Grant park.. according to what they told me it's pretty big but needs a lot of work... which is what I was looking for. it will be really nice not to pay rent anymore and to actually own a home. (also the tax break is incredible)
did you know that e-bay sells property?!? the deals on houses suck but the deals on land are very interesting!!! some of them aren't set up to bid on, they are just a fixed price... but it's pretty neat.... I also found this site: http://www.therealestatebook.com it is pretty neat, has some less expensive places.
anyone have any good books for learning to program in C? specificly how to use sockets.
this Friday is 2600, Elizabeth will be happy, she gets to shop and flirt with all the boys :-)
I tried playing a DVD on my PlayStation 2 and it played but the quality SUCKED, half the time you couldn't even tell what you were looking at. Looks like I am going to have to get a normal DVD player after all. I need to get a credit card too... it sucks to try and buy things on e-bay without one.
