weekend from hell
Jun. 4th, 2001 11:42 amI got pager duty this weekend, it stormed all over the country... it was bad, real bad
Friday was the 2600 meeting, I had to leave early because of a call. I left the Open BSD disk that Chris had given me on a table. I did get a dust puppy as a late birthday present however (yea!!) I had to go into the office for the call and was there most of the night. friends came over to my apartment but I was at work the whole time, they got to play on my PS2.. I hope they had fun... grrr, work.
Saturday Jason and Gina came over and dropped off some new computers, well new to me. I got 4 laptops and 4 desktops. They played on the PS2 a bunch. I was at the office when they got there, sat down and played for all of about 3 minutes when I got another call I had to take so I couldn't spend much time with them. I was up until about 1:30 in the morning on that one. Sunday was more of the same. played PS2 and waited for the pager to go off. the last call I got started at 6:00 that evening and ended at 2:30 in the morning I went to bed at that point, had to get up at 7:00 this morning to come to work. I am SO tired now. not only that but I am still working on documenting and closing cases that I worked on on FRIDAY!!!! I haven' even begun to think about last nights....
We were supposed to play softball this afternoon but it's not going to happen, the field is covered in water from the storms last night. It's a good thing because I am not sure I would have the strength to lift a bat at this point.
I hope everyone's weekend was better than mine!!! Sorry to everyone I had to cancel plans with this weekend. there are a lot of you I know... we will try again next weekend when I am not so busy (hopefully)
