heh, one of the chamber staff actually wrote me accusing me of being a Bush supporter... I am not... never have been... but I like to make sure that people know what the facts are... it really bothers me when people form opinions due to mis-information ... even if it's someone I disaprove of (in working with computers mis-information makes my life hell)

His environmental policies suck ass... really really suck ass... if he stays in much longer there isn't going to be anything left of this country for him to strip mine or dig a well into... Unseating Sadam was a good thing but now he doesn't want to leave... grrr.... Him and the whole abortion thing are just staring to piss me off... at first I thought he was going to speak out against it but not be stupid enough to make any concrete policies to push the overturn of roe-v-wade, but that has been proven wrong... double grrrr.... There are a few things that have REALLY pissed me off about his presidency... the 'war on terror' is the big one... the 'war on American's rights' is closer to accurate... have you taken a look at some of the things that banks are getting away with?

if you are going to hate the man hate him for things he actually did... check your sources... make sure that what you are saying is accurate...

Several people have posted against Bush and are really looking at the wrong things... But it's not surprising as these are the same things the left wing candidates are talking about... Why would you try to hit the man for economics? there are SO many things he has done horribly wrong in other areas...

[[addendum]]

Same person wrote me back and asked for some 'ammo' when arguing against bush... heh.. sure, here you go, these are some things that the media and other canidates ignore:

first off don't believe the libral nutcase sites, if you find something, check it out for yourself to make sure it's correct...

General Poindexter and National database ring any bells?
why is no one talking about this?!? When it happened the citizens of this country were so pissed off that poindexter and his family had to go into a safe house. NEVER in history has a US general had to go through that... Guess who not only came up with the idea for the national database but was the one who appointed the general whose biggest claim to fame was being a major part (in a bad way) of the Iran-Contra affair... that's right, Georgie boy...

Death of Low Power FM
It used to be that anyone could register with the FCC to get a low frequency FM station as long as they stayed under 100 watts (I think it was 100, please correct me if I'm wrong). it was really cheap to do this. Larger radio stations like clear channel HATED this as you could imagine... it was compitition... guess who was instramental in killing that... yup... on a side note the FCC was also supposed to open up 1/10th frequency stations either last year or the year before... this got shot down.. not by bush but his side kick chainy was the one pushing that one...

Strip mining and well digging in Alaska
I am REALLY not sure why the media isn't getting hold of this one... damn, if you want to knock bushes eviromental policies you can't get any better than this...

Money to airlines
This has been covered a little bit by the media and the left wing canidates but not even close to enough... is there ANYONE who thought this was a good idea? The part of this not being covered that really needs to be is the comarison of the amount of money given to the airline, with the bonuses going to the top executives at the airlines...

Rights of banks
Banks are now allowed to do any type of checking they want to before they give you services. this even includes cashing their own checks. Did noone notices that a finger print is now required at major banks if you don't already have an account? does this not BOTHER anyone? according to the banks new rights they can also require a urine test, a blood sample, a strip search, an eye scan... anything they want... should be on the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) website somewhere... if you can't find the info on their site call them, I did. I talked to the FTC for about 3 hours when I couldn't get a check cashed because they wouldn't take my government paperwork saying I was the owner of a business... All of this was done in the name of 'national security'

Free Dimitry
Look up the story of this kid... I was there when he was arrested... this was COMPLETELY ignored by the the media and was totally illegal. They claimed it was allowed because of the DMCA... except that Dimitry is a citizen of Russia, and he was arrested for talking about flaws in adobe's software... the DMCA was supposed to be re-evaluated... wanna know who kept that from happenening and is even trying to make it stricter?

These are just a few off the top of my head... What I really don't understand is that the things bush did that was blatently wrong is being ignored. there are so many people misprinting numbers and spreading lies about him... you don't need to do that.. look at what he has ACTUALLY done...

How does being a Russian National absolve one of following the (admittedly stupid) law? He was not a diplomat, so he could be arrested for his actions, if they were violations of the law, and depending on the State Department relationship with Russia, he could be held in American prison for as long as the Russians want, which could be "let him rot..." That's the horror of international law and extraditions (or the decision NOT to extradite).

Oh, and JUST DAMN about Poindexter. That one slipped under my radar...

well, he didn't comit any crimes in the us... they arrested him for the code he wrote, which was written in russia for the company he worked for... not in the United States.

yeah... if you want to bash bush there isn't anything you can get that is better than that... on top of it all there were SO many people that were fired up about it who now seem to have forgotten... I think the war jogged their memory...

Does the law say you can't HAVE the code? Having it with him could have been problematic, that way....

Thanks for the Bush thing, though!
