weekend update

hugmeI had to be up REALLY early Friday morning. Because of that I missed ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
melonaise's call Thursday night. I kind of expected to hear from her over the weekend to hang out but never did.
I left work early friday, went home and crashed. Lots of sleep.
Saturday I got up and did general house stuff. Got groceries, things like that...
Sunday I started working on my home network which got screwed up during the storm last weekend. I had been holding my picture originals on my firewall until I got my fileserver (which is raid 10 and backed up regularly) working again. The firewall went out during the storm, wouldn't start. ok, bad power supply, which it was, I swapped it out. it started up and the drive started smoking. crap. so I have lost about 1/2 of my origonals now. The total cost of last and this weekends storms comes to just under $2000 for my network... yeah, I am broke now. And it couldn't hit the systems that I don't care about, not it had to hit the big systems, on UPS's and powerstrips etc... crap. None of the systems plugged directly into the wall got hurt at all.
Sunday night I was waiting on the south side of town a long time, a lot longer than normal. I brought some manga with me, hellsing manga is GREAT!! I highly suggest it, much better than the show.
