pissed off about spinach

hugmeGrocery stores don't have fresh spinach anymore... people are so fucking stupid...
If you normally buy fresh spinach and are not because of this 'ecoli' scare than you are an idiot.. I'm sorry... you are part of what's wrong with this country. The news tells you to be scared of something and you do it, jump through a fucking hoop without checking it... you believe anything those fucks say because it's spoon fed to you and you don't know how to fucking think for yourself...
how many people have actually been killed by this... well it was a major news story, they pulled it out of all the stores... wow, that's quite an impact... must be thousands of people! no... hundreds? um... no... tens? wrong again... you want to know how many?

two were old ladies and one was a 2 year old boy...
the news reported 200 sick from ecoli... you want to know how many were confirmed sick as a direct result of the spinach? 15... and 'sick' constitutes as having a tummy ache for an hour...
yeah, you have a better chance of being struck by lightening inside on a clear day.

it's only bagged spinach, the actual fresh spinach (the stuff I buy) is fine
it's only from one company - Nunes Co. Inc. (which owns the 'foxy' vegetable label) and the grower Natural Selection Foods
it was all from the same farm
the ecoli came from the irrigation water, NOT the plant
if you WASH and COOK the spinach properly you will not be effected
but does this country actually take the time to find this out? no, they just take it in the ass sideways from the news stations and now I can't fucking by fresh spinach any more. One of the most nutritious things you can eat.
