So.... is the DC livejournal not accepting submissions of pictures?

I posted to it a link to the pictures from the convention... it was rejected ?!? no comment given....

wtf? Who is the LJ Dragoncon admin rejecting people for posting pictures from the convention?

There's a community now just for D*C Photos that they're trying to get people to use so one community doesn't take the brunt of it right after Con, and cause people's inboxes and Flists to go bonkers.

He should have offered an explanation, but I don't know if they community owners that option, or if it's just a yes-or-no type thing.

strange, according to the rules on the dragoncon lj that's not the case.. they have rules about posting pictures to it which I did follow:


6. PICTURES - ONE WORK SAFE PICTURE NO LARGER THAN AROUND 640x480(the LJ Image Placeholder Upper Definition of A Medium Picture) WILL BE ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF A LINK OR LJ-CUT IN A POST. ANY OTHER GRAPHICS MUST BE LINKED TO OR PUT BEHIND A LJ-CUT! More than one small size work safe picture is allowed outside a link or lj-cut if the total dimensions dont excessively exceed the guidelines; however this exception may be withdrawn without notice.
IF YOU HAVE NON WORK SAFE PICTURES BEHIND A LINK or LJ-CUT, A WARNING MUST BE GIVEN; OTHERWISE THE POST WILL BE YANKED WITHOUT WARNING OR NOTICE!

If you followed the comm, you'd have seen the master message posts, and would know that individual messages are being discouraged for the interrim. No biggie.

Right before Dragoncon. The admin mentioned how Master posts were going to be posted after the con. One for pictures, One for people looking for pictures, One for people looking for people ETC ETC. Any and all posts that should be in the master posts. That are posted to the regular D*C LJ will be rejected.

It was all to help people that do not know how to use the page down button or those that want any index finger exercise ;)
