XFree86 4.2
Mar. 2nd, 2002 01:59 pmthis isn't in the ports collection and I doubt it will be, hell ssh in ports is still at version 2.3
it compiles and runs great on FreeBSD 4.5, I needed to get this version of X running due to the inclusion of a better implementation of xinerama. you will still want to add "XFREE86_VERSION=4" to your /etc/make.conf file so that xwrapper will install and you are still going to have to add the lines to /etc/X11/XF86Config but all of that info is in my help file at http://www.hugme.org/computer/freebsd/x11-install.txt
right now my desktop is set up with 3 FreeBSD terminals and 1 windows terminals all using the same keyboard and mouse... I hardly ever use the windows terminal it's pretty much there to just show that it is possible to have your keyboard and mouse work across the network and cross platform.
