Today is the day we celebrate the man who killed more people than Hitler!!

The man who's legacy came closer than anyone before or after him at wiping out an entire race of people!!

But that is OK to the christians, you know why? because he won!! just like the crusades and the witch trials (here and Europe). Hitler (who was catholic) didn't win so kids can't get the day off for his birthday, how unfortunate.

Lets hear it for all the christian churches who followed in their footsteps!!

So very odd....Cobb County, Georgia (bastion of the "no gays" resolution and Kennessaw "gotta have a gun" Ga) is in session, with all the kidlets attending. No day off to celebrate a man that got lost on his way to Japan and China.

Now, Amerigo Vespucci was a problem. There is new evidence he got here before Columbus, and was keeping details secret to the crown so that early invasions would be unchallenged.

And, I'd not be so quick to select Hitler -- his legacy continues, and Columbus has a few centuries on him. If, in 400 years the Aryan traditions haven't killed a few more, I'd be surprised.

You need to eat more at lunch, by the way.

I agree, I think if we want to celebrate columbus, we should also celebrate the inqusition, Nero's birthday, etc. Kinda like Constatine as a whole place named after him, he killed thousands brutally, but yet he did it with a cross on his shield.. go figure
